Wishful Thinking II

It's time again for a sweet but short posting of what I saw while thrifting in Wisconsin (but couldn't bring back with me). The trip was hurried this year and I wasn't in much of a mood for running around like a crazy person trying to "fit it all in" so I only made about two stops; it's really a terrible shame. Of course there is always the "room in the car" factor as well, which we did not have much of this year. Here is what the 'Ru looked like with HALF the "stuff" packed in, and that's not including the dog!

Here are some of the things I wish I could have brought back with me:

Lamps! There is always a great selection of cool vintage lamps in Wisconsin. I do believe that with a little elbow grease and some fresh new shades, all of these lamps would look pretty cool. Lamps are usually priced around $7 there.
A projector! There were no less than FIVE (!!) old overhead projectors at this particular store. Think of all those great mural painting projects you could do with one!! Each was priced at $15.

A cool, retro hi-fi set. I don't know if it was working, but it had great style. This particular set was $7.

This table...oh I love it! This blonde drum table was a bit pricey for my taste at $45, but it was still a really great piece and probably worth the money.

I thought this old Argus slide viewer was just terrific. Again, a mere $7.

So there it is folks, another (short and sweet) episode of, "wishful thinking". Don't worry, I did get to bring some things home, and maybe if I have some time in the near future I will photograph and show them to you as well!
